we had a sub all last week, and let me tell yah! there is a difference! the kids know they can get away with more, and they take full advantage of it! they werent jumping off the walls or anything like that, but they definitely did not listen as well as they can. i felt bad for the sub, she seemed to be pretty stressed out the entire time. and i only pray after college i can get a job right away, so i dont have to be a sub for the time being...
Oh my, yes. We've had a sub at least three times in our class and the children do take advantage of it. They also seem to know when there is a sub for the principal and think they can get away with more then too. Actual qote, "He's (principal) not here today so I can't get in trouble, hahaha.." One of the most evil laughs I've ever heard.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can definitely tell when there's a sub in the room. It's chaos, no matter who the sub is. We've had a couple different subs and it's all been pretty crazy. I'm glad it's only been for 1 day in a row. I couldn't imagine a whole week of crazy kids!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! The students act entirely different when there is a substitute teacher! Even the specials teachers can tell when the CT is not there because they are so much more energetic and they tend to not pay attention as well as they normall do. Fortunately my CT has only been gone a couple days and so there haven't been too many crazy kindergarten days!
