New Perspective
I am looking forward to this last week and a half of being out in the classroom. I don't know about everyone else but this has been a huge eye opener for me. At first I thought it was a bit ridiculous that we were going out in the classroom during our first semester into our Education classes. However, now I see just how everything that we have learned is incorporated into the daily life. I think overall that is what I am going to take away from this experience. I think while in school, I as well as others, may have .. if I even want to go so far as to say have an "unrealistic" view of what a day at school is really like. I had the idea that I couldn't wait to get into the school and change every child's life and make sure that everyone can read and everyone knows their numbers. I see now that it is almost as if we just throw all of the information that we can at the students in such a small amount of time and just hope that they grasp something out of it all. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. I think it is great all the different programs inside of a school that help catch students up as well as helping other to excel even more.
