I have been really surprised about the amount of man hours my CT has to put in doing individualized assessments on each child. I know they are beneficial, but very hard to do when you have 21 kindergartners all by yourself without a full-time aide. My CT has to put in about 80 hours he said before the end of December. We were given the chance to help test the children
one on one and I found it very time consuming because I could also find out where the child was by them being in my small guided learning groups. I am not sure how the CT was able to get it done and still teach the class at the same time.
This is a big problem in my classroom as well. My teacher said that by the time that she is done doing assessments on all the children it is time to start all over again for the next round of assessments.
