First Week

I really like my classroom, the kids make every day exciting. Each day when my partner and I get to the classroom the students have read aloud time, which is great for us because we are able to read to them. It's a great opportunity to practice while also increasing our exposure to different genres of literature. We are then able to work with the students' reading and writing. This is also great because the students love to read to you. They have journals they write in everyday, some write mini books with chapters while others write about their day. The main idea here is to get each student writing and keeping them motivated. I like the idea of this because the students seem to enjoy when they are able to write about something that interests them. Afterwards, if the students choose to, they may share their writing with the class.
