Following Schedule.
The first week my partner and I sat down with our CT and filled out our calendars for our read alouds. As the weeks have gone on we have had to push back our read alouds due to co-teaching with the other kindergartners or our CT has had to be pulled out to go to meetings. I find this frustrating but I know we will be able to make the day up, but if we keep having to move our days I feel like we will run out of days. Does anyone else feel like the calendar is not working out??

I do feel that the calendar has been hard to follow but I think that we kind of the point of the calendar. I this it is suppose to show us that not everything will go as planned. We have ended up changing the dates of read alouds since our CT has been gone and from Co-teaching as well. I wouldn't worry about getting everything done on the day it was planned. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I know for me, I haven't really been keeping on track with my calendar. I've had to switch my read alouds around because of an assembly and some other things that just come up- sometimes the kids can't sit still. I think the calendar is helping us understand we need to be flexible and prepared for anything!
