Predictable book reaction

I was very pleased with how our predictable book turned out. I was worried at first about how the students would react to getting their picture taken. A couple of them were defiant right away but noticed how much fun the other students were having and they decided to participate. Our CT was gracious enough to give us plenty of time at the end of the school day. We were able to round up markers, glue bottles, scissors, crayons, and more to resemble what the student's had. For example, "Toryan has 10 boxes of crayons." I am really looking forward to reading these books to the children and seeing their reaction after seeing their name and picture in print.

  1. Glad to hear your book went well! Some of the students in my classroom reacted defiant as well with taking their picture, but we are presenting our book to the class tomorrow! My teacher also gave us as much time as we needed to complete the project. Hope you enjoy the rest of field experience!

  2. We finally have all our pictures taken! It takes quite a bit of time to get a picture of every student in the class (more than I thought anyway.) The class picture was the most difficult. It's hard when there are so many students that you are trying to fit on this picture, while they're all going crazy! I can't wait to give them their book. I hope they like it!

  3. My students had so much fun getting their pictures taken. It was pretty cute, how upset some would get when they did not get their pictures taken right away. When we shared our book to the class, every page was funny to them. Seeing themselves and their friends in a book was new to them and they loved it. Now I wish we would have made one for each student.
